cancun hotels

I'm going to cancun over labor day weekend. Would like to get info on the weather. Also is the Hyatt Regency or Camino Real a nicer hotel? any preference?

Weather will be very warm. Upper 80s Low 90s.

Breakfast buffets next to Plaza Characoal are $1.99 and $2.99. Food good at both places.

Both hotels are supposed to be nice. I've stayed at Omni, Cancun Palace, Oasis. Stayed at other cheaper places, but wouldn't recommend.

Trip to WalMart for forgotten items. Take R15 on bus line. Also, prescriptions drugs are very cheap. No doctor visit required. Take your prescription bottles with you.
We just stayed at the Camino Real...it's one of the older resorts...but VERY clean and friendly staff! The Hyatt is next door, I stayed there back in 1987...nothing fancy but a great pool - no beach. If I only had the choice of the two...I would pick the Camino. If I had other choices, I would go with The Omni or Continental Villas Plaza. Have fun!
Also try the Fiesta Americana Condesa or the Melia Turquesa. Stayed at both. Great hotels. Remember to also take trips downtown to get a better sense of Cancun. Don't just stay in the Hotel Zone. The food is safe, cheaper, and delicious downtown. Have fun!

I strongly reccomend the Ritz-Carlton Cancun...it by far offers the most superb accomidations in the resort area. The beach is wonderful, and the pools are marvelous.
