Bucuti - Aruba

Has anyone personally stayed at, or seen, the Bucuti resort in Aruba. We are considering it for our 25th anniversary trip next year and would love some first hand reports. All of the guide books rate it very high, but I would love some first hand reports. Especially any comments about the beach and water at this resort. Many many thanks.
Hi Roger:

While I never had the pleasure of staying at Bucuti Beach Resort, I did check it out on my last trip to Aruba. I think it's a great property. The beach is wide and uncrowded. The location is more "peaceful" than the high-rise Palm Beach area.
Aruba is a great island. You will have a great time.

Thank for the input Nadine. We are planning on going during the "summer season" so that rates would be more affordable. I appreciate your first hand report, and would welcome any more reports that anyone has to offer.
Was in Aruba last year. Saw the Bucuti and had made a decision that if and when I go back to Aruba that the Bucuti is where I will stay next. Go to www.aruba.com and then to their bulletin board. You will get tons of info from what I consider - the Aruba experts. A lot of the people on the BB have been to Aruba 10-20 times. They have an abundance of knowledge and great advice on restaurants, snorkeling, diving, etc. Have a great trip!
I second what Angela has said
in her reply. We stayed next door
to the Bucuti --- at the Manchebo
Beach Resort. These resorts are
located on the best beach---- big,
wide, white sandy beach and very
uncrowded. and laid back atmosphere. Go to www.bucuti.com
for more information and also go to
www.visitaruba.com as well. The
Aruba websites---- www.aruba.com
and www.visitaruba.com have
trip report pages that you can click
on to read about other travelers'
experiences at the different resorts
in Aruba---- I know there are at least
1 or 2 trip reports on the Bucuti at
those sites-- you can also e-mail
the writer of any of the trip reports
you're interested in--- many leave
their e-mail addresses to encourage
you to ask any questions! If you
are a beach person, you will LOVE
Aruba!
Janice

Roger, My husband & I stayed at Bucuti in one of the suites on the beach. It was wonderful! Kitchen area, LR, bedroom, bath and a large veranda!! Just walk right out on to the most beautiful beach you've ever seen. We've traveled to many islands in the past 25 years & this island is our favorite and Bucuti Resort/staff are terrific! Have a great relaxing time!!!
