Breezes in Bahamas...Is it worth it?

My husband & I are planning a trip to the Bahamas
in August. We want to know if anyone has been to or
heard about Breezes...what is the average cost of
an all inclusive for 2 people? Any suggestions on
what to do or where to visit? Anyone familiar
with a place near there where you can swim with
dophins. Looking forward to your responses!!

Cindy--on what island in the Bahamas are you going?
We swam with the dophins out of Freeport through an operation called UNEXSO. The closest you probably will come to swimming with a dolphin in the "wild" will be an encounter with JoJo, the resident Provo dolphin. He shows up at unpredictible times, though. I am not familiar with the Breezes resort. Hope this helps and feel free to ask other questions.

We're also in the planning stages of a trip to the Bahamas, although we're not looking at the all-inclusive resorts. The Breezes is in the Cable Beach area, and I saw pictures and information for them on the Bahamas accomodations web site: <www.interknowledge.com/bahamas/bsnpac01.htm>
I have also seen the Breezes mentioned on the Epicurious Travel Forum (Conde Naste "Traveller") at their web site <http://travel4.epicurious.com/HypernetNews/get/caribbean>. There's a lot of great travel information on the Epicurious forums, and you can seach by "topic" (such as "Breezes" or "Bahamas"). It looks like the Paradise Island is more highly rated than the beaches at Cable Beach, with the Atlantis leading the pack, and lots of good comments on the Club Med Paradise Island. It's true that the big "swim with the dolphins" program is run by Unexco in Freeport/Lucaya, but I've read there is a "Dolphin Encounter" run by the Underwater Explorers Society in Nassau. It's a package to "Blue Lagoon Island where you swim and surf in the ocean with dolphins". (More info on this is available at the interknowledge.com web site) Hope this info helps! Breezes is part of the Superclubs organization. I have stayed at the Breezes in Montego Bay in Jamaica as well as Hedonism. All Superclubs are good values if you want super-inclusive packages. Everything (food, drinks, lodging, watersports, etc) are all prepaid and tipping on resort property is generally not allowed. Of course, if you like to experiment with different restaurants, like to go outside of the resort a lot, then you might be better off at a regular hotel, so that you aren't paying twice for meals etc. However, if you really want a no-hassle vacation, I think all-inclusives are GREAT. You can lock your cash, credit cards, and airplane tickets away for the whole week and never get them out. You order anything you want from the bar and pay nothing. Nobody on the resort bugs you for tips. I would guess Breezes runs $1500 per person double occupancy for 7 nights but this generally includes airfare, ground transportation to and from the resort, and full resort privileges.
