Does anyone have any information regarding this resort or the island? Going in June for 7 days. Thanks-

Another girlfriend and myself stayed in a hotel a few doors down from Bougainvillea. We walked around it and the grounds were nice.Thats all I know about the hotel. The real concern we had WAS THE AREA!!!....the drug trade is highly rampant in this area as at drug house is on the beach between this hotel and the one we stayed in. Being 2 females we were constantly harrassed by the dealers wanting us to buy 'aloe' as this was the intro. to get you to talk. If they had give up after one alercation,FINE, they don't!Hotel security called the police and when they left it continued. It was very unnerving. We were told all the beaches in Barbados are public and they are harassed at 5 star hotels further up the beach as well. Just be careful! Everything else was good about the area. It is a pity this house is there as it is definitely very concentrated with these people in this particular area. We did og out on our own during the day but would not suggest it at night unless you are with a group of people.

Susan: My husband and I stayed at this resort last October and were very pleased with it. Rooms are extremely clean and spacious IMO. Kitchens and balconies included. Staff was helpful and on-site eateries weren't bad either. I'm not familiar with the drug house that is mentioned by "ini" but as for being approached on the beach, we were occasionally but they quickly would move on after a firm no. Security was on top of it. On any island, you must use your head when siteseeing, shopping, etc. Also, you can ask any taxi driver or the resort staff if there are any areas they would recommend you stay away from. I will mention that while we were there, this part of the island was under construction due to a new sewer system being installed. It was pretty torn up and tough to navigate. Not sure if it's still going on or not. Barbados is a very pretty island and you should make sure you see both sides of the island as they're quite different. Be sure to hit the Fish Fry in Oistens on Friday night! Have fun.
