beware Travelocity Booking
I booked a cruise and flight back in August with Travelocity. For some reason that could never be explained I was double booked by them. I can't tell you how many hours..literally..it took for me to finally be reimbursed for the flights and I was never given back the online booking charge. I finally gave up. A terrible run org.You just don't know until something goes very wrong!

I would not give up!!! Some of those magazines, National Geographic Traveler for one, have a column where people with big travel/agent issues write in and they help solve it!
It is not just the online companies, it is the airlines themselves, as well.
In Nov. I booked a one way flight through expedia to SJU, no problem. A week or so later i called the airline(USAir) to make a reservation for my dog in her travel crate. I got a price and a conf. #. I got to the airport, got in line and they told me they do not take dogs!!!
It's not over yet...I have a very helpful CSR from the airline working on it with me.

Odin, I meant to say hours on the phone spread out over a couple of months! The Travelocity agent kept saying that it was all taken care of and I'd check my VISA statement online for a week, call them again and start all over. You can never talk to the same person twice and the stalling was unbelievable.

Orbitz double-charged me a couple years ago and trying to get my money back was one of the hardest things I had to do... but they owed me $1200 so I had no choice but to keep on calling. All the customer service calls were handled by call centers in India and the people over there just didn't seem to care. They didnt even know where Cancun was!!
Finally got my money back and then some (they returned $600 extra by mistake)... I see it as well earned $600.

Sorry to read of your bad experience. We've used Travelocity many, many times and have never had a problem. I think it goes to show that things may go wrong with any of these travel sites. Good for you that you tracked them down and got some compensation. Better luck next time.
