All of them!

So to help us help you you must tell us more: budget, people invited of different budgets or just the 2 of you? How long you plan to stay. Have either been married before(most islands require min stay before and tons of paperwork)

Planning to honeymoon too

Where you coming from

What's warm to you (70s,80s)

Other stuff you need to tell us, on the beach or more cliff like scenery

Are you catholic (priests won't marry you outside)

Do you need entertainment, shopping, etc or just relax

Other than that, every island offers a destination wedding! Every island has a fan.

So best is relative!

It is the first time when I am going for the destination wedding and I have no idea more about it, but I'm trying to gather information as much as possible. Could you tell me how much expenses will cost for 2 week in saint Lucia for both wedding and honeymoon. Also tell me about paper that what are the criterion's there on the paper.

How much a 2 week stay in St. Lucia will cost can vary greatly depending on where you stay - things like location, resort amenities, quality of food , available activities will all affect the price you pay. You will also have to factor in the cost of airfare to/from your home and the cost for activities and meals you have "off resort".

For example, a small room at a simple hotel away from the beach might run you $200/night while a beachfront junior suite in an upscale 5-star resort could run you upwards of $2,000/night.

That's why it would help if you have is an idea of your actual budget. No sense wasting time recommending places you can't afford .

Suggest you do a google search for "resorts on St. Lucia" (or any other island that interests you) and look to see which ones interest you and how much they charge for a room.

You can also google "Marriage requirements on St. Lucia" to find out the legal requirements. You should be able to do this for any island that interests you.

The internet is your friend but you have to do some first hand research yourself rather than expect others to do it for you.

RoamsAround I was thinking the exact same thing. Well said.

Maxx32,You need to research yourself and be in touch with some of the island resorts. How would we know what the cost would be?? I have neighbors who were married in Antigua on the beach. They loved it and the beach was Dickenson Bay.The resort planned it all they just had to "show up." If you want to know the costs you need to contact resorts in which you like, several of them, then narrow it down. A wedding on the beach is a wonderful idea. Some people do that and then have a reception back home for family friends who could not attend the wedding on location.

MADD, there is no appx costs, you can spend as little ir as much as you want! So recs would be all over the place and not help you!

And every island is different. DR and Mexico, Belize and Roatan are cheapest, Anguilla, St. Barts, Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Caymans, are much more expensive.

So without a concept if YOUR budget, can't help until you tell us!

All islands have weddings on the beach. Mexico you can find rooms for $67 nightly, Anguilla you find them for $500.

So it's not as easy as given you a budget, you have to give us one so we can make recommendations!

8-)

I am sure it would be no different here in the U.S. what do wedding costs? How many people, the food, cocktail hour, for how long? is it included, flowers or not flowers or what kind of flowers etc. There is not end to wedding costs, all depending on various likes and dislikes.

The Caribbean would be no different.

Approximate costs will be between $2,000 and $20,000 depending on your choices. Please provide what everyone here is asking for, and your costs will be less of a range.

I was married on Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos, at the Ocean Club West resort. I also honeymooned in the same location for 10 days afterward.

The cost (in my opinion) was reasonable and comparable to being married at home. Some things in T&C cost more - but I had significantly less guests than I would have had I stayed home for my wedding.

Marriage requirements do vary island to island. My wife and I married in a catholic church with our parents and siblings a few weeks before having our "destination wedding". Legally, our wedding in the Turks and Caicos was just a renewal of vows. As far as our guests were concerned, it was our wedding.

That being said, you can search for a lot of destination wedding factors at https://www.tropicalvows.com/search/ which lets you search by a lot of destination wedding specific items like "coordinator on site" and "# of days required on island before being legally married" as well as typical travel questions like "prices starting at" and "island/resort activities"

The cost for your wedding/honeymoon can range wildly. Some options to cut cost are:
- Choose your resort wisely, call them to see if they have any deals.
- Get food at the grocery store and make many of your own meals (many resorts offer shared outdoor grilling areas so you don't feel like you are missing out on the great outdoors!)
- Buy your own booze and mix your own drinks
- Pick a few days to just be beach days (you wont believe how much you'll spend in a day when you hit the shops, buy some drinks, get a lunch and a dinner out, etc.)

Doing a trip like this requires a lot of research. Do it now, and it will pay off when you have the best time of your life!

As many others have said you need to first create a budget but a wedding should be more special than a mere budget driven exercise only. Romanticism with lasting memories should play a major role as it will be an event that should be seared into your memory. Your choice of saint Lucia is an excellent one. I suggest that you look at the final episodes of the series "The Bachelor" being aired in North America March 3 to give you an idea of how romantic St. Lucia is. Check it out.

rogandgee, funny I have thought of some of these posts while watching the Bachelor on St. Lucia. I was thinking the same thing, as it showed the beauty of St. Lucia. (I am not sure he was the best choice for this seasons Bachelor. I'm just sayin!)

I only watched the latter part of The Bachelor because I was told the last two segments including the finale were being held in St. Lucia and for no other reason. I have no idea why these women put themselves through this charade. Perhaps money and a few minutes of TV fame! Blah!

Fodorite starrs recommended Sugar Bay in St Lucia. It's too high for our family needs now, though. A standard double was $798 first of June.
