BEST ALL INCLUSIVE?

Planning a carribean holiday and want THE BEST all-inclusive that's price isn't unattainable. Would like to spend around $3000/canadian total on trip.
Interested in beautiful beaches, relaxing atmosphere, lots to do at the resort, lots of variety in the food department, beautiful resort. Have you been to an all-inclusive that you would highly recommend. Thanks in advance.

BEACHES will be your best bet for an all-inclusive resort. You'll have the beach, all the amenitites, water sports included, food and alcoholic beverages included as well. The one draw back is that they are very generic places, almost too perfect, (think of disneyland). I prefer a unique resort that isn't part of a huge chain, although, the convenience of an all-inclusive is still what I look for. I'm searching for a place to go in July that will have the meals included, some water sports, and plenty of beach and quiet. Happy hunting.

Are you a single, a couple, or a family? For singles traveling alone, nothing can beat Hedonism in Negril Jamaica. It it a constant 24 hour party on a lovely beach. It can be a little wild (toga parties, PJ parties, nude beach, etc) but you will meet lots of other people just out to have fun. Lots of Canadians there. It accepts only adults, couples and singles. If you are a couple, try Sandals anywhere. Negril is the most casual of the Sandals, Royal Jamaican in Montego Bay is one of the fanciest in Jamaica, but Sandals are on many islands. No kids, no singles, just heterosexual couples. Both of these suggestions are highly rated all-inclusives. May exceed your spending limit a little, unless you are looking at summer. If your money limit is firm, try Mexico instead like Cancun or Cozumel. If you do Cancun, stay AWAY from the Royal Solaris. It is crowded, poor service, and we had money stolen from our room there by a chambermaid.

Try Jack Tarr on St. Kitts. Drinks ar included and food is available somewhere almost any time of the day. There is the ocean across the street or a short bus ride to the caribbean. Lots of activites day and night. Prices here are better then most all inclusive. Have fun!

I second the vote for Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica! All inclusive, real pretty, good food, all you can drink, water sports, party atmosphere. If the nudism bothers you stay on the "prude" end of the resort as half the people do and still enjoy everything. A second choice for all-inclusive would be Pineapple Beach Club in Antigua. The best food you will find anywhere in the caribbean. Didn't even want to sleep in in the a.m. because we were afraid to miss breakfast. Wonderful staff and a little quieter than Hedonism. No nudity here.

I would highly recommend La Source in Grenada. I've been to many all-inclusives and this one had the best service, rooms, view and activities. Food is very good and drinks are top-shelf. Spa services are also included. I spent time scuba diving, swimming, hiking in the rain forest and relaxing on the beach or by the pool. Half the guests are Europeans who stay for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Although most were couples, I went alone for 10 days and met all kinds of great people. The resort also has a sister resort in St. Lucia called Le Sport.

I've been doing some research on all inclusive resorts in the British Virgin Islands. Peter Island resort and Biras Creek resort are two that I've heard some great things about, but they are expensive. WWW.scubamom.com has articles on these. Long Bay Beach resort on Tortola sounds nice and isn't too pricey (www.longbay.com). This will probably be my choice for my honeymoon destination.

Hi. I noticed a lot of comments about HedonismII being esp for singles. My wife and I are planning our 10th anniv, and Hedonism II is one of our options. Did you find, as a couple, the resort to be primarily oriented towards young singles. we are in our early 30's, so age is no big factor. Wondering if Breezes Runaway Bay may be a better choice...
Thanks!

For a 10th year anniversary, I would recommend something like the Lido resorts, Couples Resorts, or Sandles. Hedo may be toooo toooo, for a couple looking for romance.

Leslie, since you mentioned Breezes and Radisson
Cable Beach resort in the Bahamas, I just thought
I'd let you know that my husband and I were recently in the Bahamas, we stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian ( which was great! ) and as we
were checking in , we got to talking to three other couples ( two were from Radisson, one couple from Breezes) that said they had checked out of their hotels and were checking in to Sandals. They said they were not happy at the other places. I
don't know if you're a couple, but I hope this
helps!

Debbie, my fiance and I are thinking of spending a week at La Source before going to Petit St. Vincent. These plans are for our August Honeymoon. Any comments on the weather in August? Also, comments on the different rooms at La Source. Thanks.

Lesley: I'm sure all the resorts mentioned are great. We've stayed at Sandals three times and loved each location...they ARE perfect but the price is not within the 3000. Canadian that you mentioned. We just returned from a trip to Gran Ventana in Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic. Despite our belief in "you get what you pay for" we had a fabulous trip at about 2500. Canadian. Spoke with friends who had travelled to Punta Cana and stayed at Bavaro for a bit more money - they liked it better than Sandals. Might be worth checking out. If I can tell you more about the Gran Ventana just email.

I will likely agree with the last message, my wife and I are going to Bavaro Beach in the Dominican. We are spending $2,260 US for one week. It is an all inclusive resort which sounds beautiful and from everything I have seen on the internet it is wonderful. I have a bunch of links if you would like to check them out for yourself. We return on April 1st and will be able to give you more information then.

Any Club Med resort would be a good bet. Club Med Guadaloupe has a beautiful beach and great food. Hedonism was geared more to singles when I was there. Saw very few couples if any.

Probably the best all inclusive in the Caribbean is Grand Lido. Somewhat more expensive, but more luxurious. The beach is next to none and the food and service is excellent. It's a more quiet style resort but truly a lifetime experience. We've been there eight times and plan to go back soon to enjoy another unforgettable vacation!

Can anyone tell me anthing about the new resort Beaches in Negril, Jamaica? I understand it's a brand new property - not one that's been renovated. We are planning a family vacation with a ten year old son. We would greatly appreciate any detailed information with suggestions or helpful tips. We've been to Sandals and several other all inclusive resorts so we are aware of the basic concepts and inclusions. We are hoping to find a family all inclusive as teriffic as Grand Lido, Negril. Thanks.
