Beaches T&C
We (family of three) are booked for 06/26 - 07/03. I've read good and not so good on this resort but I take everything with a grain of salt. Any recent returnees want to share their thoughts? Having been to Provo before we know the beach is heaven. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on what block of rooms to request, what restaurants you liked, etc. Thanks!

We have been to Beaches T&C twice and loved it. There is good and bad at this resort, but for a vacation with kids, that also allowed me and my husband to relax, it can't be beat. The food is adequate to very good, depends on the night and the resturant - the buffet would be very nice one night and the next be so-so. The best resturant is Sapodillas - adult only. As far as where to stay - it depends on the age of your kids. I like the French Village because my daughter is young (3 now - we tooke her at 10 months and 21 months) and that is where the kiddie pool is, and it is only a few minute walk to the beach. We are heading to Our Lucaya this year now with a 4 month old in tow. We just wanted a change but we expect to head back to T&C either in 2005 or if a great deal comes up we might go sooner. Have fun, and if you have more questions let me know

Thanks LilDeb. Did you check out the Tepanyaki restaurant? That looks like fun. We booked a standard room and I think that puts us closer to the beach area than the French Village. Do you know if the rooms in the French Village are nicer than the blocks closer to the beach? Thanks!

The tepanyaki resturant is ok - I've been to ones that were a lot more fun and tasty, both at home and at other resorts. It is worth giving it a try, and you never know if you get a fun chef it can be a blast. The rooms at the french village are larger and nicer (and they do charge more for them) but if you want you might try to upgrade when you get there (you will be there at a crowded time of year so it might be harder to get an upgrade) Either way you wont spend much time in them. There is a lot to do. I loved the spa by the way and used the kids club quite a bit. Have a great time

One word of advice, if your room is in the French village, make sure you are far away from the entertainment stage. It is very loud every night until about midnight. As long as you do not expect 5 star food or service, you should have a great time at beaches. It was my kids favorite vacation.
