My husband and I are looking for a low key spot in the sun with option to get into small town for restaurants and bars. Tennis court is a high priority. Other activity options (walk/hike, paddling, golf?, snorkeling, day cruise) are a plus. Would like to spend under $300/ni but if the place was a perfect fit we'd probably pay more. We dislike large impersonal hotels. Would rather trade some of their amenities for healthy local food and local flavor. If this resonates with you but the tennis court is missing, please make the suggestion anyway. I'm finding that the only advertised tennis courts in the Caribbean are at large, glitzy and very expensive resorts.

The Buccaneer in St Croix has courts and a great pro. While it is a resort, it has a small resort feel.

There is a nice tennis club in Punta Mita, MX.
