Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel

Has anyone stayed in the Barecelo Bavaro Palace Hotel in Punta Cana? How was it? Would you go again? Is the golf course decent. Are the domestic beverages included in the all-inclusive plan drinkable or are they rot-gut? Any suggestions for a good time here? My wife and I have booked for June for 10th anniversary trip and hope we made a wise choice.

Matt,

Every feedback I've seen on the property is positive. But here's two things you can do to get a quick response.
First, Put the property name in the search box above and hit Find.
Every posting thread that refers to the property will come up and you can go through them for instant feedback.
Then, go to debbiesdominicantravel.com and read debbie's reviews of about a dozen DR properties (I think BBPalace is one of them), as well as about 2600 reviews on over 170 DR properties provided by people who have just returned and posted their observations/recommendations/complaints, etc. (I know BBPalace is in this group).
I'm thinking about BBPalace, myself, and everything I've read so far says it, or Paridisus, or Catalonia Bavaro are the places I want to go.
Good luck, you'll have a great time, I bet.

You did make a wise choice. I stayed there last May for a week and loved it. The beach is spectacular, the resort is beautiful and the drinks are good. If you tip the bartendars and tell them exactly what you want, you'll get it. Heck, you'll get it without the tip but these are hardworking people and you'll find yourself wanting to tip them. Go to Debbie's site for more info but rest assured it's a great spot. I would go back in a heartbeat! Adios

A great choice! This hotel shares the property with serveral other hotels - all Barcelo and you can use the facilities and restaurants of all. If staying at any of the other hotels you pay a premiun to eat at the Palace so the Palace area is quieter. Beautiful beach, good food - but DON'T DRINK THE WATER!!! Not even to brush your teeth. Bottled water can be purchased easily either from the hotel, or from the flea market at your end of the beach. Water used on site for washing vegetables etc. is all purified and safe - but don't trust what comes out of your tap. Take lots of Imodium in case you have any trouble. Other than the water - you will love it!

We are traveling in a group of 24 people. Ages 7-76. We are having a family reunion. Which all inclusive is better BBP or Paradiscus? The teens like lots of activity day and night! Thank you!
