walkable hotels
Hi everyone,
My husband and I are planning a trip to Turks and Caicos this upcoming summer. We are hoping to stay at a hotel that we do NOT have to rent a car with. We would like to be able to walk to dinner and to a grocery store. We know we want to stay on Grace Bay. Can anyone recommend a hotel? We are looking at the Inn at Grace Bay, Ocean Club, and the Alexandra Resort.
Thanks!

The inn at Grace Bay and Ocean Club are walkable to some but not all-- Alex is maybe doable but I would still get a ride at dark
From first 2 you can't walk to snorkel, and no 1 place is walkable to the best restaurants.
Taxi will cost more than car rental, so why not rent a couple if days--you can explore the island too (chalk sound is amaIng)

Turks and Caicos is not a very walkable place...we stayed at a small hotel next to the Alexandra and really felt stranded without a car...and trying to get transportation taxi or shuttle etc. was tough. You really do need a car and I learned that the hard way.
