Barbados - bringing food
Hi all! Will be heading to Barbados in a few weeks - 2 families, 3 kids under 4, and our rooms have small kitchenettes. I would like to bring down some kid friendly food, that I know they will eat (KD, PB.....)Does anyone know if it is okay to bring food into their country? Will this be an issue? Will they even ask us? If so, will it be confiscated?
Thanks for any advice in advance.

not sure what KD, is but assuming you plan to put all in your Checked luggage you will have no problem. if they ask, say what you've got. they will not take it unless you Carry On say jelly. i usually travel with a cooler full of food which i check. all is frozen solid. no problems with entry. you can not take fresh fruits or vegetables.
most luggage these days is not hand checked but put through a scanning machine.

No problem taking in food except for no fruit, veg or uncooked meats. A jar of jelly is about US$1.50, PB similar, loaf of bread US$1.75, decent coffee US$6, eggs US$2.75/12. Bfast cereals tend to be a bit on the pricey side especially if you want a particular brand. But everything is available ..... at a price, but there is cheaper stuff too - it's not all expensive.
