Barbados, Almond Beach Village

My husband and I were there in May 95. We spent 2 weeks in Barbados (one in a house we rented) the second week we stayed at a condo right next to Almond Village and we were allowed the use of all of their amenities. The trip in general was wonderful. The hotel was very nice. I don't know what the rooms are liked but overall it looked very nice. Their pools are great and the beach is wonderful. They offer snorkeling equipment (free) although if you have your own I would bring it. They are an all inclusive and have things such as restaurant vouchers (or at least they did while we were there). They would take you and drop you off at a restaurant and give you a voucher for a certain amount of money to spend on dinner if you did not want to eat at their restaurant all of the time. They also have another all inclusive in the island that you can go eat at. I believe the transportation is all included.
I hope you have a great time. Barbados was wonderful. The bus system is very safe, the water is safe to drink and the people are wonderful. The food is really good. They have wonderful seafood and wonderful traditional bajan cuisine... The drinks at the hotel were pretty good...
Enjoy and let me know if you have any other questions. We are planning to return at our 5 year anniversary it was so wonderful...

I would not recommend the Village as a honeymoon spot, unless you like being around a lot of children and teens. I went on my honeymoon to the Almond Beach Club in early April and had a great time. The Club only allows persons over the age of 16 to stay there. On the other hand, the Village allows families. The Club is also a lot more intimate than the Village. Good luck.

I know its a little late but we spent our Honeymoon at Glitter Bay which was absolutely divine. I couldn't recommend a better resort for you honeymoon. Make sure you try La Maison for dinner. A must for honeymooners. Have you concierge make the reservation and get you a table by the water.

I wrote the previous message about the Village and after reading the message posted after mine, I realized that I meant to say the CLUB - this is were we stayed and I agree there were no children and it was great for a honeymoon. I was never at the Village. Sorry for the confusion.
