I don't think the hotel is really as important as the fun is really at the beach during the day & at the clubs along the street at night. Time Out at the Gap is pretty cool, but across the street from the beach. I don't remember seeing what I'd consider a mainly singles hotel. The Salt Ash is kind of funky looking, beachfront. Might be full of middle aged Brits tho, who knows?

Have you tried posting to rec.travel.caribbean? Lots of knowledgeable people there.

Lois

Havent been to this hotel (have been to Bim), Ive heard & read alot (all good) about the Accra Hotel, supposed to be "lively", doesnt seem too kid orientated. Is definately something Im looking into for our next trip!

Try posting this question on www.funbarbados.com, alot of good info.
Accra Beach Hotel looks great on the outside & sits on a wonderful beach. It's not too far from The Gap. Short taxi ride, just a couple of bucks.
An easy drive, but why chance it after a fun night of rum & reggae?

One really nice thing about Accra is that the beach vendors are under control. They have their tables & clotheslines under the trees & you go to them rather than them harassing you. Good restaurants in the immediate area.

Maybe you could call the Barbados Tourism Authority here in the states & ask about a hotel that caters to singles. There's one in NY, LA & FLA. I talked to all 3 before we went --- got the most personal input from the LA office. They'll also send you all sorts of brochures, maps, etc. & a copy of Ins & Outs (a big glossy publication).
