Back From My Trip
Spent 7 days at the Mariott in San Juan. GREAT hotel, the beds were like heaven, comforters to die for. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time, so much we are planning another trip in March but looking to stay at Dorado Hyatt. I love the ocean, but from the looks of it the beach at the Hyatt has no waves, am I wrong?<BR>Four adults will be traveling thinking about renting a villa with 2 bedrooms any suggestions.

Room at the Marriot was $105 per night room sleeps four, deal thru Expedia.com. Beach was great, loved the waves. Upon check-in I requested an ocean view room I knew the deal would entitile me to a city view, but what's the harm in asking. Much to my surprise they accommodated me willing to a room with a view of both pool and ocean. Location of hotel is great 5 minute drive to Old San Juan. If you're planning on staying at the Marriot I recommend it highly. Staff could not be any more accommodating and pleasing. Planning a trip in March with my family, with 2 teenagers I heard the pool at the Hyatt Cerrromar suppose to be alot of fun. Figured they would enjoy it. We are looking for a 2 bedroom villa which I beleive the Hyatt has.

Trip began by picking up this great SUV rental thru Budget at the airport. $30 per day thru priceline. Our trip consisted of visiting the Rain Forest took the hiking trail to the Mina Falls, beautiful. Went to Culebra Island by ferry spent a day at Flamenco Beach which is rated by Travel Channel as the 3rd most beautiful beach in the U.S. and that it was. Visited the Caverns in Camuy, breathtaking. Spent Sunday in Old San Juan alot of walking, its the only way to do it. In Old San Juan we ate at the Bombonera. If planning on visiting PR do not leave without eating at Ajili Mojili great Puerto Rican food, in the Condado area. On our day trips we would stop off at these mom and pop restaurants along side the road, food is extremely cheap and very good. Folks are very friendly. Natives call them "Kioskos." Metropol in Isla Verde is another restaurant famous among the locals, never went. Overall, we had a fun filled vacation. Renting a car is your best option to do the Island. Priceline gives great deals.

There is very little wave action at the Dorado or the CErromar. THe river-pool at the Cerromar attracts the young and old. THe Cerromar is a better choice if children are along. There ia a time share at the Cerromar and they do have two bedroom apartments.
