Back from Bermuda

Txgirlinbda and cmcfong,
Thank you both so much. We are just
back from our wonderful trip! Weather and water were perfect. Royal Palms was a delight. Everyone was so helpful. I did say hi to John for you and asked him for his recommendations cmcfong.
The best decision we made was to not lock ourelves into plans but take each day as it happened. It allowed us the freedom to see so much in the short time we had.
We were able to walk back and forth to Hamilton for the bus and ferry. We went to so many off the path places. Horseshoe Bay was marvelous and we went into the little cove for privacy when the cruise ship came in the last day.
At Dockyard we went to the Frog and Onion which was a lot of fun and also Bonefish. In Hamilton we ate at the Lobster Pot and Hogpenny Pub.
My husband and I are now looking forward to a return trip next fall.
Nancy

Thanks so much for posting your trip report, Nancy. I am so tickled it was a good trip. Isn't John a hoot? He has been in Bermuda for years and he knows it like nobody else.

Bermuda is another world, isn't it?

Thanks for posting, nancy.

I just dropped my dad off at the airport this morning for his w/e in Bermuda. I wish I was going, but my daughter is on Homecoming court tonight and I couldn't miss that.

Glad to hear the weather is still good this time of year (looks like rain though, this Sunday).

I hope I can get there again next year.

Nancy: Thanks for the report. I'd like to know how was the water temperature? Still warm enough to swim? I'm sort of a wimp when it comes to water temp. Thanks.

Straight from the horses mouth!!! I live in Bermuda and was at Horseshoe Beach yesterday and in the water! Us Bermudians think the water is cold when it goes below 85! Yesterday at the beach there were lots of people in the water, a little cool getting in but after that it was fine.

Lucky you, tropicgal!

How's the weather today?

My bil had a fishing trip scheduled for this morning but it looked like yesterday was the better day as it was calling for rain today. He was going to try and switch days but I'm not sure if he was able to.

John is incredible! He was right on target with his suggestions. The water was warm when we went- the island is another world. We loved it.We were also lucky to have the great weather. I would go in October the next time too. It is not too crowded and I think that is nice.
