Does anyone know or have been SNORKELING at De Palm Island?? Stopping in Aruba on Carnival Destiny ship, and they offer a snorkel tour to this place. Is it GOOD - worth it?

Two comments: Been to Aruba 9 times and on last 2 trips noticed ALOT of unsavory IMMIGRANTS(non-Arubian) being imported to fill employment gap. Knew it then and there Aruba wouls see general downslide while experiencing UPRISE in crime. Too bad that the Gov. didnt realize that many go to Aruba to enjoy the people and avoid unsavory others.

Point 2" Think Holiday Inn is a big dump.

Can't believe noone has mentioned the Bucuti Beach Resort- charming ,small,romantic-definitely geared for couples- and service beyond compare- also one of the best beachfronts on the island-check it out!
Ann

To answer RicK:
We snorkelled at DePalm Island, Baby Beach, and on a boat trip that included stops at the Antilla shipwreck and Boca Catalina (just north of the high-rise hotels).
DePalm snorkelling was fairly good - lots of fish, but no beach, and quite a few people. We liked Baby Beach best - nice sandy beach, clearest water we found in Aruba.
The Antilla was interesting but fish there were limited; Malmok had terrible visibility the day we went there.
I would rank Baby Beach first and DePalm second.
