Atlantis- pool use by non-guests.
My family and I will be in Nassau on a cruise in Feb. and would like to go to Atlantis for the day.
- Do they allow non-guests to use the pools and slides or can we pay a fee for use?
- Are non-guests allowed on the beach?
- What is the best way to get from the cruise ship (Disney)to Atlantis? - What is the cost of water taxi and car taxi?
Thank you for any info submitted. Any other pointers on day use of Atlantis is appreciated.

Hi, I am staying at the Sandals royal Bahamian the week of Feb 6-13 and would like information on Atlantis also. Can you go over there and visit and us the pools and the slides? Does anyone know how much it cost to go there for the day? Time is short so if you can email me direct if you like. Thank you very much!

Deb, the facilities at the Atlantis are for the use of guests only. Atlantis stopped offering non-guest passes since the new additions were completed and now there are 2,300 rooms at the Atlantis, so to stop overcrowding, passes are no longer sold.

The beach is open to anyone, but you won't be able to get chairs or towels there. You of course are welcome at the restaurants and the casino. The grounds at ATlantis are amazing and well worth the visit. IF you want a complete tour, you can pay $25.00 and that includes the tour of "the dig", a sort of disneyish idea of what the runis of "Atlantis" would look like.

Downtown Nassau there is lots to do and see, like the Pirate Museum and the Museum of the Bahamas, are within walking distance of the ship.

You might check with the Hilton British Colonial to see if they offer day passes to their beach, which is very close to the dock also.

Have a great trip and if you need more info on Nassau, please let me know.

tweedy

Deb,
We just got back from the Disney cruise and you can purchase shore excursions right through them to get to Atlantis. One of the packages is called the "Atlantis Beach Day" which takes you by ferry to and from the port and Disney has a reserved location on the beach in which your chair and towel are included, you get a coupon for lunch at the snack bar and you can do a self guided tour through the marine habitat aquarium, and casino. The cost is $50 for adults and $40 for children. (Note the last ferry runs at 5:30 PM so after that you need to take a cab back to the boat which runs $7-8 per person.) They also have the "Discover Atlantis" package that just doesn't have the beach access, and that is $30 for adults and $20 for children. Have fun, you will enjoy the Cruise!
