I was recently at the Atlantis for the first time for a long weekend in January. I stayed in the Royal Tower and would recommend it. It is the newest of the towers and my room was very nice (although I think I lucked out because it was a very large corner room on a high floor with two balconies and views of the ocean, golf course and cruise ships).

The Coral Tower also looked nice. I would stay away from the Beach Tower though. At least from the website, the rooms looked pretty ugly. Plus, it is far away from the casino (just generally did not look "deluxe" like the rest of the resort).

The Atlantis is so big that nothing is within close proximity to everything but the Royal Tower is well-located as far as the casino, restaurants, pools.

Nichole,

I think George is right, a good travel agent in your area would be of help and can provide more than just reservations, like pictures and info and discount prices. Atlantis is offering discount prices right now, probably because of 9/11 not as many people are going to the Bahamas.

If you don't have a good travel agent, I would suggest looking at the www.libertytravel.com site for pictures and package deals they are offering.

As far as meal plan, the food at the Atlantis is expensive, and if you like to eat 3 meals a day than the plan is worth the money. If you like to get out and see more of New Providence, than I would suggest not getting the meal plan and trying some of the other restaurants in Nassau like Cafe Matisse or for an AMAZING dinner Greycliff's (expensive but worth it, the only 5 star restaurant in the Carribean), I just about liked the plate after my Lobster bisque. I think our bill totaled $300 for 2 for a wonderful dinner excellent bottle of wine and sinful desert.

The beach at the ATlantis is one of the best in the Bahamas, and got rave reviews recently on the Travel channel. If you want to lay at the pool, get there early am and claim a lounge chair. Also you can go over to the Comfort Suites for a bit more laid back/quiet sunbathing.

There is alot to see and do at the resort so you will never be out of things to do, unless you want to.

Enjoy the Bahamas and have a great time.

Royal Tower if the newest and least "worn". Coral Tower is fine and is centrally located. There are eleven pool areas and a great beach. We stay at the Coral Towers. The rooms are nothing special, but suit our needs. We found we spend less money without the meal plan, and can eat wherever we want.

We recently stayed in the Beach Tower and the room was just fine - we had a great view of the ocean and the royal towers - we only needed a place to sleep not entertain

For your average adult the walk from the Beach Tower to the Casino is 8 to 10 minutes - not a big deal, (it is 2 or 3 minutes from either the Coral or Royal Tower Lobbies)

There are pools at both ends of the complex - and they get full with towels by late morning. The slides are closer to the Royal Towers

You should check the Atlantis website for a lot more detail, but in my view I don't think it really matters where you sleep in the resort (although I could change my mind if I got the Michael Jordan suite!), and for healthy adults I don't believe proximity should be an issue.

You can also call 1-800-Atlantis and have them send you info about the meal plans as well. The meal plans do not include lunch so you can go off during the day and not feel you're paying for lunch twice

Have a great time!
