Aruba for 50th Birthday

We will be in Aruba to celebrate my 50th birthday in March, and staying at the Sonesta Resort. Any info you can give me on the Sonesta, special restaurants to celebrate my birthday, or anything else about Aruba will be appreciated. Also, we're interested in renting a jeep for 1-2 days and maybe even a night party cruise; should we make these arrangements upon our arrival? Thanks so much. Betty

The Sonesta is in town and not on the beach. They have a private island with boat shuttle service about every 15 minutes. If you are not a beach person but prefer town setting and don't like to walk on the beach at night or go from hotel to hotel..then you won't have a problem with the location.

Previous post was right. Sonesta is the only majaor resort located downtown. The rest are generally on Palm Beach or Eagle Beach...For lots more information and answers to all your questions go to the Aruba Bulletin Board @
www.aruba-bb.com

Lots of great information from many visitors who love aruba

A great romantic restaurant on Aruba is Papiamento...you can eat inside or outside - little tables set up in a garden type setting around a pool. Very intimate. Have fun!
