Anyone flown on Canada 3000 lately?
My husband and I are flying to Nassau a week Sunday on Canada 3000 and I would like some advice. The airline tells me to be at the airport (Toronto) 3 hours before flight departure even though I've paid the extra and have pre-assigned seating. If anyone has had an experience with this situation (since Sept.11th) and could tell me how long it took them to check in I would greatly appreciate it. Even if you didn't have pre-assigned seating I would be interested in knowing the length of wait.
Jennifer

Jennifer

Hi, I am a travel agent. For an international flight you really should be there 2 to 3hrs prior. Some times it seems like a waiste of time, but they will give your seat a way if you are not there. Also, I went for a flight one time with 1 1/2 hours to spare, and I almost missed the flight by the time I went through securety (travel agents never follow thier own advise, silly me, I tell my clients to be there early, and I am the one who held up the plane).

Just read that all Canada 3000 planes are grounded. One was siezed by the airport in New Foundland, that the airline owed them $400,000.

If you are going call your travel agent quickly and book another airline.

Good luck with your trip.
