Electricity throughout Nevis is North American standard...110/120V, 60 cycle. Just great for all small appliances and entertainment devices. If you've got something (can't imagine what) that draws a lot of power...check the amperage with the resort. Cheers, Richard.

Actually Viceroy, the "official" current on Nevis is not 110/120V, 60 cycle but rather 220/230V and the cycles vary from 50 to 60. I speak from experience as I have a home on the island. However, I will agree with you that most, but not all, resorts and rental villas have transformers to convert electricity to something that approximates the 110/120V, 60 cycle "standard" North American current. Just so you know places like Montpelier have 220V throughout the resort (w/European plugs) although they do have one 110v outlet for electric shavers and laptops in each room.
For STEPHRB I'm not sure what type of outlets they have at Firefly. You might want to call the management company just to be on the safe side. FYI, if you are looking to charge things like laptops or cameras they are usually dual voltage so you can use 110v or 220v outlets but if you are coming from the US you'll need a European adapter plug for the outlet.

Dear Stephrb,
The outlets are of the American kind and the voltage is 110. You could always call or e-mail the villa agent,Ian Hart, to verify though: You'll find his contact info at www.neviscottage.com/contact.html )
Have a wonderful trip.
