Active vacation - help!

My husband likes to be active for the majority of each day; hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, snorkeling, sailing, windsurfing, horseback riding, and ziplines/rapelling are all great. We've done plenty of Club Meds and Costa Rica twice, plus Anse Chastanet (St. Lucia) and Dominica, but would like to try something new. It could be a resort, cruise, island in the Caribbean, a tour,or a Latin America country (we'll be going in Feb. or March for one week). Suggestions?

I realize this is a Carribean forum, but one of the Hawaiian islands sounds right up your husband's alley.

Otherwise, have you considered the Playa Del Carmen/Tulum area of Mexico?

Though we decided not to go there, we looked into Belize for a vacation. There seems to be all of these things to do there. Excellent snorkelling on the beach and rainforests, ruins, etc.

It appears we've been really lucky. We've been to all the major Hawaiian islands (I have a sister there), and Belize twice (Belize Adventure Week with Slick Rock was one of Rick's favorites). Both great suggestions! Pat

I agree with Playa del Carmen. There is Xel-Ha and Xcaret for snorkeling, Maroma Beach for horse back riding, fishing, ATVs, motor boats, Ak Tun Chen for caverns, Coba, Tulum, Chichen Itza for Mayan Ruins. Alltournative.com for zip lines, camping, kayaking, and cenotes. Hidden Worlds for cenote snorkeling and diving. Parasailing, jet ski and boats trip are available. Options of going to Cancun and Cozumel. We liked Aquaworld in Cancun.

Another vote for the Mayan Riviera area. There is so much to see and do there with snorkeling in cenotes, ruins to see, zip lining, shopping, snorkeling, windsurfing, etc.
