Access to beach at Atlantis
This weekend I will be cruising aboard Explorer of the Seas, which will stop in Nassau. I plan to pay the $25 fee and visit the aquarium at the Atlantis. Does anybody know if the beach at Atlantis is open to non-guests? Thanks!

They sometimes have staff checking for wrist bands, but not always. I've been to Atlantis several times and have seen passengers from cruise ships on the beach. Go into the hotel and look around and just walk out the back to the beach. If you're lucky, they won't be checking wrist bands. The beach itself is public--the problem is getting to it.

Sonya, the $25 fee is for a tour of the Atlantis "complex" and "the dig" which is Disneyish version of what "Atlantis" might look like.

The whole place is HUGE and there is lots to see.

If you just want to see the Aquarium, you can have lunch there and you won't have to pay the tour fee.

The beach is public so you can use the beach, but not the "facilities" of the resort that is for guests only.

Have a great time while you are in Nassau.

tweedy
