7-acre Snorkeling Lagoon GONE from Atlantis!

I just spoke to Customer Service at Atlantis and learned that the seven-acre snorkeling lagoon is no longer available at Atlantis! Now you must pay an excursion fee and take a boat off to some spot in the Atlantic. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this? This is incredibly disappointing; the snorkeling lagoon was such a nice option for water activities, along with the beach and water slides.
Does anybody know if this is true? Comments from those who've been lately, please.

Gee, now if they could just rid of the abusive "Dolphin Encounter" excursions.

What? Now it's politically incorrect to swim with fish?

Dolphins are not fish.

Carol: You have got to be kidding!!! In fact I read about a recent study whereby dolphins, other than humans, are the only other species that can recognize themselves in a mirror.

Kidding about what? Isn't this post about a snorkeling lagoon?
But replying to "j" and "xxx", just because dolphins are intelligent, why is it wrong to interact with another species? Dogs and horses have been domesticated; gorillas and birds have been tagged and studied. Do you object to all species being studied? Or those used for entertainment purposes in zoos, circuses, and aquariums? Those used for fur, leather, meat? And is snorkling in the same category?
I just returned from Atlantis. The lagoon is still there and you can stil swim and snorkel in it, but there isn't much to see. You can rent water trikes, glass bottom boats, and other pieces of equipment to use in the lagoon.

I hope this helped.

Thank you, Lisa! I appreciate the clarification. (I guess it wasn't making enough money as it was!)
