Worried about coming to Canada next week.

My husband has a trip planned to Canada next week but we are worried about him getting stranded there. Does anyone know during wartime (after we strike back) will Americans be allowed to fly back into the United States from Canada or other countries?
He really does not want to cancel his trip but does not want to stay indefinitely.

Sheila - No one can tell you the answers you are looking for...If air travel is threatened again, flying will stop, but hundreds of thousands of travelers found their way home last week via rental cars, trains, buses, or fellow travelers...

Your husband will be stranded only if he chooses to be, otherwise he can be safe at home within two days via ground if the planes stop... tell him to go only if he promises to come home... if he won't promise... find a new husband.

Sheila, My husband and I arrived in Canada from the US on Sept 10. Needless to say, quite alarmed by the following days events. We were delayed one day getting home. We were scheduled to fly from Calgary to Toronto on the 17th & got out on the 18th...with many delays. The folks in Canada were wonderful. It's a personal decision....my thought is if we stop living we let them win.

Why do all that worrying when you can just stay home and not have your fears spoil your trip?

Thanks to all that replied. My husband cancelled his trip and rescheduled for next year. It was not out of fear to fly but he did not have enough vacation days to extend the trip if he got stuck in Canada or had to rent a car and drive for 2 days. He is looking forward to the trip next year.
