Where to stay in Niagara?

My wife and I are planning a trip to Niagara Falls in mid-September. I am undecided on whether to stay on the US or CAN side of the falls. We are looking for a nice hotel with a reasonable rate for king bed w/jacuzzi. View is unimportant. We have seen many websites and called a few hotels, but would like some advice from someone who has been there.

Just returned from Niagra Falls, I was very happy with Comfort Hotel and Suites-Fallsview, 6733 Oakes Drive, 905 356-1944. We had a king size bed and the bath tub was large with water jets in it. I did not try it, but it may have qualified as a jacuzzi. The price was $97.20 Canadian. Any further questions contact me.

Never stay at the ramada!! <BR> <BR>I dont know exactly the name but it is on the american side and features a <BR>"courtyard". <BR>Ive been in Alabama, West Virginia and <BR>NYC but this was the worst Accommodation I ever stayed in. <BR> <BR>Dirty, with chewing gum carpets, unfriendly staff (we changed the room twice and it wasnt any better. <BR> <BR>The 5 Dollar breakfast "buffet" consisted of scrambled eggs, toast and <BR>saussages that was it! read it twice if you want. <BR> <BR>never again!! <BR> <BR>

WE DIDN;'T GET TO STAY IN A JACUZZI ROOM BUT WE WERE TREATED TO A TOUR AND THEY HAD GREAT THEME ROOMS. Definitely stay on the Canadaian side as that will be the side you will want to spend most time on for viewing falls and the other attractions. The area up the hill from the falls is quite touristy/tacky with lots of t-shirt shops and other attractions, but just to the west? or further from the falls is quieter and since you don't want a view you can save quite a bit on the rate. We stayed at the Sheraton and received very good service, but we wanted the view.
