Where to stay in Niagara

Going to Niagara Falls this summer. Looking at the Mariott Fallsview, Sheraton Fallsview and Embassy Suites Fallsview. Want good location to restaurants. Is Embassy suites away from the tourist area? Can someone please give recommendations.

Embassy is a high rise next to the Niagara Fallsview Casino and Resort... it offers a great location for the action of the Casino but is about a mile away from the Cheesy Clifton Hill attractions... for view, restaurants, and gambling, its perfect...

The entirety of Niagara is practically tourist area . If you want to get away from that then drive to the End of Lundy's lane past the adult clubs. I liked Quality Inn or Comfort . Walk out the door through the lot and into the action which includes eating places.

How about 20 miles away in Niagara-on the -Lake a beautiful town you should not miss. Great main street lined with nice shops and good restaurants; if you like theatre there's the Shaw Festival. Very nice hotels are The Prince of Wales, Queen's Landing. Everything is within walking distance and the drive to the Falls area is along the beautiful Niagara Parkway which goes by the Butterfly Conservatory.

There are bus shuttles to and from the tourist area. It is like a city bus and has different routes. It makes it easy so you don't have to count on parking.

If you haven't been to the falls recently, it is all built up.

If you don't mind price the new Great Wolf Lodge sounds like fun!
