Like imitation name-brand design copies of evening gowns, or like fake Cartier watches?
There are street-based watch vendors in the summer frequently near Bloor and Bay, but I don't know how accurate their imitations are.
I may see a fashion indistry owman this week, and I'll try to remember to ask her about clothes.
Best consistent fashion bargains for women, and for men's shirts and ties, are various Winners stores throughout Toronto. Big one at Yonge and College Street.

..But what I'm looking for is Louis Vuitton knock-offs. A friend told me that they have real ones on Church & Wellesley that are cheaper. I'm thinking that theyre not but they look very similar. I want a chanel bag which i heard they sell there too...?? anyone know where i can get a good knock-off in toronto??

I agree with Kate. Knock-offs are illegal.
Design firms spend a lot of money making high-quality goods and they rightly want to protect their brands.
Knock-offs are poorly made and involve nefarious sweatshop labour practices.
Morally, it's wrong to buy knockoffs.
Also, law enforcement agencies are cracking down on those who engage in buying and selling these illegal goods.
If you can't afford the real thing then you can't have it - it's that simple. You won't be fooling anyone by carrying around a badly-made imitation.

This is an on-going debate in the european forum; Venice is polluted by the "purse sellers". It's pathetic really, they are all over the place.
I buy designers I can afford; I will pay around $200 for a good handbag, not a low budget but it does not buy me a Gucci.
I won't prance around with a fake.
Obviously, the counterfeits are very popular or else they would be gone.
