When is Gros Morne Fall Foliage Peak Season?

When is peak fall foliage for Gros Morne NP and Newfoundland in general?

I'm planning to visit the last week in September. Too early/late? just right?

I wanna see the pretty leaves!!

Newfoundland is primarily coniferous forest cover which means you won't see much autumn colour. The Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, however, is magnificent. Better at the end of the first week in October - near the Canadian Thanksgiving.

I respectfully beg to differ: the fall foliage in Gros Morne NP is absolutely fantastic from late September to mid-October...and only marginally less glorious than the colours along the Humber Valley near Marble Mountain (close to Corner Brook) where photographers come from all over Eastern Canada to take pictures. And, besides, you can pick wild blueberries while you enjoy the scenery-I know because I have done so!
