What does "dressy" mean in a Vancouver restaurant?

Will be in Vancouver for 25th anniversary. Eating in at least two restaurants listed as dressy on Yelp. Does my husband need to wear a coat and tie or is just a jacket sufficient? I'm thinking Vancouver might be a bit more casual, but want to be sure.

It is a bit more casual - West Coast casual - so a jacket
will be sufficient. You could post the resto names and get
a definative answer.

Le Crocodile, Blue Water Cafe and possibly Cioppino.

Your husband is fine with a jacket.

We were at Cioppino a few weeks ago and the table of hockey
players next to us were dressed very very casually! Our DHs
had dressy 'sports shirts', slacks and sweaters and they fit
right in on a Saturday night.
