Whistler can be very hot in summer. I have been there when it has been 85 degrees. Perhaps people are getting confused over celsius which we use in Canada. 85 is approx 30 degrees celsius. Vancouver is a little more temperate but you can have anything from the high 60's on a rainy day to the 80's.

Whistler just broke an all time temperature record and the forecast is for temps in the low 80's (26 - 27 deg celsius). Although you probably won't need it I would take SeasonJoy's advice and bring a light jacket.

quick answer - no. As previous posters have mentioned, temperatures hover between 20ºC - 30ºC during the summer, although we're having a bit of a scorcher right now and it's a bit hotter...It can cool off a bit in the evenings - usually down to 15ºC or so...

Weather in Whistler-valley can be very hot during the summer. I wiuld even say it is to hot than to cool.
But it makes a big difference, if you intend to visit the mountain peak (Whistler mountain). There you have to expect cool temperatures (10 degress). Bring a warm jacktet, if you want to take the peak chair lift.
