Vancouver Island in Winter

I am wondering if there are anything to do outdoor other than winter sports like skiing/snowboarding in Vancouver Island in February. I am retired and my main reason for going there that time of the year is to see what the winter season looks like before actually moving. I have been there in other seasons. Is the weather mild enough for fishing or hiking?

You can fish and hike, though it may be raining. You can play golf all winter in many places. And cycle. Vancouver Island weather varies by location but in general you can expect plenty of rain and temperatures in the 40’s.

Skiing at Mt Washington and other mountainous areas. Elsewhere, as xcountry says, the climate is pretty temperate/warm in winter.
