Am planning a 3-4 day stay in Vancouver before taking an Alaska cruise. Notice several downtown suite hotels - has anyone any knowledge of any suite hotel in downtown Vancouver

I've only stayed in the Lord Stanley which is nice and clean, near Stanley Park. The only drawback was the traffic noise if the windows were open.

I would say the nicest suite hotel downtown is the Pacific Palisades on Robson. It just got taken over by the Kimpton Group, which should make it even nicer. <BR> <BR>If you're looking for something more moderate, then I'd check out Rosedale on Robson, the Lord Stanley and the Coast Stanley Park.

I highly recommend the Coast Plaza Suites Hotel at Stanley Park....(604)688-7711. I've stayed there many times and it has always been very nice...close to Stanley Park and the beach at English Bay.... and the busy(with people)streets of Denman and Robson, yet quiet in the rooms.
