Vancouver by _______

I'm trying to decide between the following options for a 2 day tour of Vancouver:

1) Trolley (http://www.vancouvertrolley.com),
2) Double-Decker (http://www.etix.com/glwest/servlet/o...anchise_id=409),
3) Public Transit (http://www.translink.bc.ca),
4) Organized Tours (http://www.graylinewest.com/vancouve...ing_tours.aspx)

Questions:

1) Is there a major route difference between the trolley and the double-decker?
2) Does the trolley or the double-decker go to the North Shore?
3) Will I save time going with the trolley or the double-decker over public transit?
4) Do organized tours make enough stops where we can get out and roam on our own?

Other suggestions are also welcome.

1-No
2-No
3-Yes
4-?

BTW-it's not a '<i>trolley</i>' at all it's a internal combustion natural gas powered rubber tired vehicle.
Apparently the body once belonged to a trolley-that's the story anyway.

Guest2006,

As far as organized tours, you really need to do that research on your own. There are MANY companies with many different itineraries.

Just use your favorite search engine and type &quot;vancouver sightseeing tours&quot; (or something like that.) It's easy ... Sometimes people on this board get upset if you ask too many questions without doing any research on your own.

The Gray Line double decker and the Vancouver Trolley have teamed up so that you can ride both. They both stop off at the exact same places. The only difference are the vehicals.

What would be a good place to transfer to public transit from the trolley to go to the north shore attractions?

Other than that, it seems a combination of these transportation modes may be best for us.
