Re fying from Chicago: remember that United (big Chicago hub) is partnered w/Air Canada which should give some advantages if you run into problems w/flights booked on either one-- always a consideration these days.
Re where to spend time: We visit Toronto almost every year and find much to do; enjoyed Ottawa immensely on our one visit- very walkable, & any city w/2 rivers has wonderful vistas.

Anyone have any references on hotels in Toronto or Ottawa that we should stay at before heading out to Kingston? Nothing pricey but maybe in a great area for "touristing"? Thanks-

Debbie -- Here's a link to my journal entry on the Capital Hill Hotel & Suites in downtown Ottawa. For value and location, it's tough to beat. You will also find a website address within that entry that you can use to search for other hotels; just copy this and paste it into your browser window:

http://www.igougo.com/planning/journ...3&EntryID=1268

Ottawa has a lot of wonderful choices. Happy Trails!

Thanks for the various recommendations. It looks like we will be going up to southeastern Ontario next week-still trying to decide on how to get there.Anyone have good luck using Priceline, etc. for fares to Canada? We are actually going up for a family trip next week and then must go back for student orientation on the 9th of July(glad we are not going the last week of June through July 2nd as they are expecting 10,000 people for the TAll ships week!) Any other tips? Thanks-Debbie
