Toronto in Late November

Hi:

We are trying to plan a trip in late November. Wonder if it is cold, rainy, snowy in Toronto? Also wondered if the Christmas decorations would be up in the city and stores?

Thanks!

Depends on how you define cold; colder than Atlanta, but not much colder than New York City.

No snow.

Maybe rainy, though, but survivable.

Yes, lots of Christmas decorations; more near the end of the month.

The 101st Toronto Santa Claus Parade is on Sunday afternoon, November 20th/05
The lighting of Toronto's massive oudoor Christmas tree is on Sat. night Nov. 27/05 as part of the Cavalcade of Lights celebration at Nathan Phillips Square (City Hall). There is a free concert as well.

Could be snow - but not likely. Chilly and wet is most likely

Thanks for the info! We are used to the cold climate-just didn't want too much snow.

Sometimes there's some ice, even though it's not snowing yet. It's a good idea to bring a pair of shoes or boots that have a decent grippy tread (not all treads give you traction on ice; rigid plasticy ones are often slippery; spongy ones are better) on them. There can be just enough slippery stuff in patches on roads and sidewalks to make you want to watch your step. Of course it could be perfectly dry and you'll have no problem, but better to be well-prepared.
