Toronto Hotel
Message: I am attending an event at the Delta Chelsea in Toronto and think I would prefer to stay in at the Metropolitan. Can anyone tell me what hotel is nicer? What is the nicest downtown hotel in Toronto?
Thanks, in advance.
I'll try to give you a bit of information - but suggest you search the forum as both hotels have been thoroughly discussed here.

The Delta Chelsea is often described as a very busy, family hotel; the Metropolitan apparently has very small rooms.

The best hotels in Toronto are the Four Seasons, Park Hyatt and Windsor Arms - all in the Bloor/Yorkville are.

Hello! If you are attending the event with children, the Delta Chelsea is great -- fantastic childrens area! However, if you are on your own, the Metropolitan is a unique hotel (boutique hotel). The rooms are fantastic and the service is wonderful. My personal favorite is the Marriott Eaton Centre - large rooms and nice facilities.
Wherever you stay, enjoy all that Toronto has!

I gave away a prize inclduing a night at the Delta Chelsea last weekend, and the winner wrote the next day saying they very much enjoyed the hotel.

I eat lunch once a month or so at the Metropolitan, and have started to try to figure out how to get my hosts to take me somewhere else, where both the food and the service are better.

No-one can define "nicest" for anyone else. If the event is at the Chelesea, the Sheraton, the Hilton, and the Metropolitan are all reasonable five-ten minute walks away, and similar in style. The Colony, Bond Place, Days Inn on Carlton are all below these based on a variety of standards.

If you want to travel further, the Four Seasons, Windsor Arms, Sutton Place and park Hyatt are all fancier, but you'll need a cab or comfortable shoes. Same for the Fairmont Royal York, except it is in a different direction/

If it was me, I'd just stay at the Delta.

BAK
