Suite accomodations in Vancouver

Our family of four is traveling to Vancouver in late June. We're hoping to stay in apartment or suite-style accommodations, rather than incur the expense of 2 hotel rooms and have to eat all meals out. Does anyone have any recommendations? On the Vancouver tourism web page, I found Rosellen Suites -- is anyone familiar with that property, or any other suite/condo/apartment accommodations that are well located? Thanks in advance.

The Lord Stanley by Stanley Park has suites with fridge, stove, microwave, clothes washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and a small den. The one-bedroom suites have a hide-a-bed in the living room, but it might be a little crowded for four.

The website mentions a minimum stay for two-bedroom suites, but doesn't say what it is.

The north-west corner suites have a wonderful view of the entrance to Stanley Park, the water, boats and mountains. There is some traffic noise even with the enclosed balconies. The suites facing the park have open balconies. I wouldn't stay at the other end of the building where construction is going on next door.

Underground secured parking is $11 or $12 extra per day I think.

There is a grocery store nearby. If you wanted to eat out though, The Chef and the Carpenter (across from the grocery store) is good. Cardero's, also within walking distance, sits over the water close to the Bayshore and has great salmon.

I haven't stayed at the Rosellen Suites.

English Bay (great west end location...close to everything) has tons of great holiday apartment/hotels. Just do a search on English Bay and you should get lots.

Forgot to mention...Roseallen look nice from the outside....Good location if that helps. Also for West End check out the Times Square. Really nice suites and a great location but a bit pricey.

Thanks, April and Stephie, for the suggestions. All 3 look like good possibilities. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks in advance

I just booked a room at Rosellen Suites in August. Sounds great--1150 sq ft for $299 CDN per night. Since it's in a residential area, I was wondering if public transportation is easily available. We'll be there for 4 days and want to do a lot of sightseeing.

We are going to Vancouver in July (prime time), and we booked a "studio suite" for 4 at the Westin Grand for $189 CDN per night. The Westin also has one-bedroom and two bedroom suites for slightly more. All have kitchenettes and marble baths. If you're interested, suggest you browse their web site at www.westingrandvancouver.com. Good luck.
