Lenny - The Skyline is attached to the Niagara Fall Casino... It is an older hotel that's getting a lot of use because of the gambling crowd... if you like the hustle-bustle of the tourist area, you are right in the center of it. There is a Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood right outside, as well as Clifton Hill, which is the cheesey capital of Canada. Just one warning... the restaurant dining rooms are known for their bad food, so steer clear. In fact, stay away from most places around the hotel...they are overpriced and so-so for food...The one exception is the Casino Restaurant "21" high prices but good food... have fun, you high roller!

I stayed at the Skyline Brock mid June and I will repeat what you just heard that it is a very old hotel but fairly well maintained. We got the package which was a good price thru them and used it for breakfast which was fair but one dinner was enough for us! As mentioned, the Twenty-One restaurant was excellent and to me seemed reasonable coming from Boston area. We also ate at MR. Greek which was in the area for lunch and it was decent without being overpriced. Plenty to do in the area and the casino was nicer inside than expected, much nicer than Montreal's. My opinion if the price is right stay at the Brock, if you get a better deal at the Sheraton grab it since it looked very nice and was 2 doors down.

I believe the Maid of the Mist boat trip tothe bottom of the falls is the best tourist attration in the world, so go. The ticket booth is three minutes from the hotel, and lines move faster than you might think, and the price is surprisingly low. <BR>BAK

Message for Lenny - I stayed at the Queen Elizabeth in Montreal very nice hotel and a good package which included buffet breakfast which definitely more than Brock (price) but still with the US dollar a great value and location (much better breakfast). I highly recommend dining at the Beaver Club which is at the hotel if you are looking for a upscale fine dining experience. Excellent service and food was great (especially the beef, which was recommended by other Fodor users). If you are interested in going to the casino it is pretty much a waste of time and we dined at Nuances which is supposedly a 5 star restaurant which I would give 2 stars to. Definitely the Maid of the Mist and even the walk to the falls. Have a great trip, we loved it even though it took us 30 years of marriage to make it to the Falls we did it!!
