Short term rentals in Québec?

Can anyone suggest leads for finding short term rentals in Québec for a couple of months over the summer? I am totally unfamiliar with the area, and of course, I would like to hear from someone with first-hand experience. Whatever the cost, it's got to be cheaper than what I've been seeing in short term rentals in France!

Thanks for any information.

The Université Laval School of Languages has a website with all sorts of practical information on its course, housing, activities and the like. It's at

Someone nicely posted a site on another thread "www.lespac.com" to check for rentals. Lots of them there, but one problem - even though my French is pretty good, I don't understand the lingo! Rental ads in France I understand, but I have no experience with Canadian French, which of course, should just be a difference of terminology. Quite like the differences in British English and American English I'm sure.

For instance, can anyone decifer this for me:
<<possibilite de cedage de bail, bail à céder, cession de bail>>

It means to sub-let, i.e. to take over an existing lease (literally, "transfer the lease&quot.

Hi crepes a gogo!

I just came back from a 4-day stay in Quebec for the winter carnival with a group of 6, and we were very happy with La Pergola (http://www.quebecweb.com/pergola/introang.html); simple, clean and affordable appartments at a 20-minute walk from the walls of the old city.

Good luck in your search!
