Royal Scott Suite Hotel in Victoria

Just came back from a weeks stay in Victoria and can't say enough about the Royal Scott........what a great place to stay. Only a block from the Harbour - staff is excellent. I can't wait to go again

How were the rates? My husband and I are going to Victoria in August or December (depending on if he goes to Japan for work this summer).

Any good resturants that you went to? Last time we were in Victoria was 3 years ago.

I live in victoria. I don't know much about the Royal Scott. In regards to restaurants, there are quite a few good ones to visit. Here are some good ones:
-Pagliacci's
-Ming's (Chinese)
-San Remo's
-The Keg (steak)
-Earls
-Romeo's Place (voted best pizza in Victoria)
-Boston Pizza

For some Victoria restaurant web sites, visit my links page at:

Thanks Greg!

Just so you know, we have The Keg in the states.

Last time I was in Victoria, my husband adn I ate at an Irish pub, the Sticky Wicket, the Cheesecake Factory (which just opened in Seattle), and a few other places that I can't remember right now (it was three years ago that we were there).

Is Grandpa's Old Time Photos (I think thats the name) still open? We had our picture taken there and had such a fun time that I want to do it again.

The photo place is called "Grandpa's Antique Photo Studio", and it is located at 1252 Wharf Street. Their phone number is 1-250-920-3800. Their web site is

The rates for the Royal Scott were excellent for us because we have the Entertainment card - so we paid about $130 per night for a suite. Can't say enough about the staff and the rooms, we were thrilled. Pagliacci's is a definite must for eating and we also went to Bravo's which is on Wharf........
