Metropolitan Hotel Toronto
Has anyone on this forum stayed at The Metropolitan Hotel in downtown Toronto.
Any good or bad opinions? Looking for a central location for downtown Toronto for two 22 yr old females.
The Sheraton was our first option but too pricey. Looking at price range no more than $120 a night.

There's two, so be careful.
The Soho Metropolitaan is on the edge of the entrtainment district.
The other Metropolitan is behind Toronto City Hall, so if you see Toronto pictures, look behind the clam-shell like walls of city hall, for a big M on a building.
Location is not bad... five minute walk to Canada's biggest shopping center, three minutes to Nathan Phillips Square in front of City Hall, where, most weekends, there's some kind of event.
Five minutes walk to either of two subway stations, ten minutes to the Art Gallery of Toronto, ten minutes to Queen St. WEst, where you'll find lots of stores of interest to early twenty-something year olds.
All in all, there's nothing there, but lots close by. You're only five minutes by foot away from the Sheraton where you planned to stay.

I stayed there before, during the Toronto Film Festival, and it was fine. I thought it was a bit overpriced for the quality level, but it was the equivalent of your standard Marriott or Hilton room. (BTW, the Sheraton Centre is a much better value IMO)
The Metropolitan's location is good and central, close to the St. Patrick subway stop, and an easy walk from the ROM.
