Old Montreal kid friendly restaurants?

We will be staying in Old Montreal with 2 mostly behaved but occasionally spirited young toddlers. Many restaurants we look up seem to have the white table cloths and seem a little fancier. Any suggestions of where to take the kids to eat where we won't bother other customers so much or that don't get too upset when a little food ends up on the floor? We are also planning on getting a metro pass for our stay. Thanks.

Jardin Nelson is very pretty and quite casual. We've seen many families there. It's got a beautiful 'garden wall' and there's music every day, I think.

There are so many restaurants - you certainly will find more casual ones, many with outdoor tables. Also, there's no reason you have to only dine in Old Montreal. Tons of casual, family friendly restaurants up on the plateau - many have patios and are BYOB.
