Niagara Falls - Hilton and Radisson...any comments?

Does anyone have any first hand experience w/either one of these hotels? The Radisson looks fairly new. Are they in a good location? Thanks to all who answer.

Hilton is on top of a cliff, overlooking the falls themselves.

To get to the falls, you take a elevator/tram gadget down the side of the cliff, so from that point of view, the location is fine.

It's a fairly long walk to the touristy stores, museums, souvenier shops, and casino, though.

My relatives in NF think the Hilton is very, very expensive, and suggest visitors check out other hotels if price is a consideration.

Can't comment on the Radisson.

BAK

Brian, Thanks for the info. I thinnk it might be an advantage being a bit away from all the touristy/tacky places. I got a reasonable rate at the Hilton...USD$126 for a falls view room. I guess going off-season has its advantages. Thansk again.

Hi Mikki,
we just got back from Niagara Falls on Saturday, 7/21/01. We stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview and we loved it. The Radison was right next to the Sheraton and it looked nice, BUT, the Hilton is directly (and I mean directly) in front of the Raddison. The walke to the Maid of the Mist was not a problem. We also walked to the Imax theatre. and the Skylon Tower. Also the Incline railway is just a 5 minute walk from the Hilton. If you have any other questions, let me know
