New Jersey to Toronto
I am planning on driving from Northern NJ to Toronto to visit a friend in mid August. I wanted to leave two days earlier than initially planned to see other places that may be worth visiting on my way North towards Canada. Any suggestions? Please keep in mind that I am 26 years of age and will be driving alone.

If you drive up through central NY you could visit the Corning Glass Museum, Cooperstown Baseball Hall of fame, Bethel Museum for Woodstock Concert, Finger Lakes Wine Region, Letchworth State Park, and Niagara Falls... tons of options...

Thanks for the replies. I will be crossing the border along the Niagara so I will definitely check that out. I would love to see beautiful scenery, go hiking and go to famous eateries since I am in the restaurant business. As far as my interests go, I am pretty much interested in learning about anything useful or experiencing something that I can recommend to others.

both Susur Lee and Mark McEwen have excellent restaurants in Toronto however they are very pricy... you may also enjoy the cuisine in the Niagara Wine region... Peninsula Ridge, Vineland Estates, Peller Winery, and On the Twenty are all AAA 4 diamond.
If you want a fun experience at Niagara, consider Whirlpool Jet Boats, combines the nature of the gorge with a trip through the Rapids at Devil's Hole... quite wet but fun!
