Need itinerary help!
We will be landing in Seattle on Tues. this week and have three or four days to wander.
Tues eve we stay in Everett, then have Wed thru Sat. to play before returning to Everett for the rest of our stay.
We'd like to go up to Canada, but have no clue which way to go, where to stay and where to eat (we like walk-ups and local favorites). We are outdoors lovers who enjoy the views and wildlife and would be just as happy to avoid high-traffic areas.
We are social - so like the mid range B&Bs/ inns, boutique hotels over the bigger, brand-name ones.
Not sure about the ferry protocol or the availability of rooms since we are coming up on the Labor Day weekend.
Any suggestions are appreciated!!!

oh darn, don't know if you'll check this in time...
but from Everett, just drive north on the main Interstate freeway roughly 110 miles to Vancouver.
You don't need to go very far, or break up your 3 or 4 days in any way.
AT SUCH TIME as when you are ready to commit to visiting/being in Vancouver for 3 nights... THEN you should use Priceline.com for great rates on a downtown hotel.
You could even leave your car in the hotel for all 3 days an just hoof it around town and have plenty to see and do.
Or perhaps you are inclined to make a day trip 90 miles up to Whistler, BC... where the next Olympics skiing competitions will be. It is a beautiful drive.
You should bring drivers license and passport to cross the border.
I'd book Weds/Thurs/Fri nights at the same (random) Priceline hotel in downtown Vancouver and then wait until LATE Saturday night to hit the border back to the U.S. (long holiday delays on Sat. morning and afternoon)
Hope you read this in time for it to matter.
