We are looking at Geo Group at Lac Morency,St. Hippolyte next June. Appreciate any comments from anyone who has stayed there or in area.

I have stayed at both when I cycled Le Petit Train du Nord (CubeNY, I'm guessing that is where you will be sledding?).
The first is 20 km north of St Agathe in Ste Faustin, the second is 13 km south in Ste Adele.
The accomodations, food and hosts are excellent at both.
bwg, it looks to me like St. Hippolyte is somewhat east of Ste
Adele. The whole area of the Laurentians is beautiful with many small, interesting towns, lakes and sights. And not one bad meal over the 5 days that we were there!

Could you recommend a good road map. WE will be flying from US to MOntreal and driving from there. We do not speak French-are all road signs in French?

I suspect you could find/buy a good road map at the airport; otherwise try a gas station/convenience store in Montreal. I believe most road signs in Quebec are in French only, especially away from the urban centres; maybe someone else could comment on that. Quebec has strict language laws for signage; you would do well to have a good phrase book with you. You could also print out directions from Mappy.com before you leave home. BTW, we found many people speak English in the Laurentians; in part because it is a tourist area.

Thaks for the info , bmacdon! My husband is a bicyclist--assume that is what you are referring to when you said you cycled? Can you provide info on the trail ?
When you say "not a bad meal" are you referring to the B & Bs or can you recommend restaurants?

Le petit train du nord is a 200 km rails-to-trails conversion snaking through forests, fields, small towns and the Laurentians. We cycled it (over 5 days) during the fall color extravaganza and used a tour company to book our accomodations and transport our baggage from point to point. In short, one of our favorite vacations. The food was good everywhere; we ate in the samll towns along the trail and always asked the locals for recommendations. I think this was a big part of our success. Sorry, I did not write down any names......
