KELOWNA PENTICTON AREA

We are a family of 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 children - want to visit this area for 5 to 7 days this summer. We have friends in both Kelowna and Penticton - we've been in this area many times as we are from Calgarya but are looking for a great place for all of us to stay together - great pools for kids, lake access, nice view and 3 bedrooms. We are looking for something around $350 to $400 a night. Any ideas from anyone?
We've seen Barona Estates as one sugestion but don't know anyone that has actually seen it. Thank you for any assistance.

I would recommend trying vrbo.com They are lots of homes that would work for you there. Just go to Canada listings and look at both Penticton and Kelowna.

I have family in that area and will check Barona Estates for you with them. But I second the VRBO idea...try Summerland or Naramata as possible places where there are lovely summert homes that might be available lake-side.

another vote for vrbo.com. we rented a lovely house right on okanagan lake, in the summerland area. it was spcious, had 4 large bedrooms, a small pool and a pier to jump in the lake. i think we paid about $1500 for a week in september. 10 minute drive to penticton...quiet area to walk around at night or in the morning.

Verdict from family who live in OK Vallley is that Barona is "snobby, pricey and in an awkward spot". I am just quoting..

If you read the reviews on Tripadvisor on Barona you definitely would not consider it. Sounds like a nightmare for rules and regulations etc.
