June in Nova Scotia?

Been reading replys and nothing much said about June in NS. We are travelling from Australia to Toronto and want to drive via Quebec to Nova Scotia, PEI in June. How
long would we need to do this? and what is the weather like at that time of year? Any feedback most welcome.

June in Nova Scotia can be quite cool still. I would say high 60's (F) during the day and still chilly at night, although the further towards July you get the more of a chance you will be in the low 70s (F). Obviously, the reverse is true for early June. Forget about swimming. Brrrr.

If you are doing a straight through drive, you would have two full days of driving (maybe 8 hours a day). that's without stopping. If you want to do a leisurely drive, seeing other things along the way, you can definitely stretch it out over a few days.

Actually I think Toronto to NS wld be >16 hours. Maybe 20-24 but I have never done that drive. Why not fly & rent a car when you get there?
It is still cold in NS & PEI in June.

My map says 1,681 km from Toronto to Halifax, but long stretches of Trans-Canada in eastern PQ and northern NB are not freeways... So, I agree that it's >16 hours.

Thankyou for your replies. We have allotted about two weeks to do this trip stopping over along the way. Don't mind cool to cold but hope there is no snow around at that time.

June? Snow? No, Canada is not THAT cold - at least not in the Maritimes. It's summer time!

We had a holiday in Nova Scotia a couple of years ago starting in June (June 20th to be exact), apart from Cape Breton the weather was great, shorts & T shirt time in fact. Needed a light jacket for the evenings but apart from that...Had such a great time we are going back this year again at the end of June.
